Cayla tipped over the bucket, spilling dirty water onto the clean deck.
The day is not off to a good start – the nice, clean deck of the Flying dragon immediately gets messy thanks to Cayla the youngest crew member’s clumsiness.
But, that is far from the only problem the crew will have to deal with today!
“Are you okay?” Polly asked him.
“No,” Fribbet sniffed.
Fribbet the frog is NOT having a good day, but after some prompting from Hallie the First Mate and Captain No Beard, the crew soon learns what is wrong.
“There were hundreds of them. Froglets, jumping everywhere…Taking up all of Mommy and Daddy’s time.”
That’s right. Fribbet now has little siblings everywhere – and nothing will ever be the same again!
Whewwww – any kid that’s complaining about having a little sibling should pick this one up.
Cause having one little brother or sister is NOTHING compared to hundreds! Poor Fribbet!
I really enjoyed how Roman showed the crew coming together to support their friend – and showed with different ways to adjust to a new family size. Such a sweet one!
As always, the illustrations are really well done – and I loved how cute Fribbet looked when he was sad (though I did feel bad for a little guy!).
On a side note – it’s rather cool to see all the awards this No Beard books win!
