There was nothing but calm waters and smooth sailing ahead of him.
The day started well – the crew members of the Flying Dragon were doing all their chores, the ship is zipping around and everyone is getting along… or are they?
There was a cry of distress, a commotion broke out high over their heads.
There’s a new crew member – Zach – and he wants a job like the rest of the crew.
…but…all the jobs are already filled. And while Hallie is trying to help, she doesn’t know what to do.
She didn’t know if that would work out. Swabbing was her job…Hallie’s lips trembled.
Everyone agrees that they want Zach to be a permanent member of their crew…they just can’t decide on what to do with him!
Ahhh, such a fun little addition to the series!
In particular, I thought that Zach joining the crew was a good move for the series. It showed that there’s always someone new ready to join and that you sometimes need to get a little creative with including them.
Also, I thought it was really cute to see Cayla growing up in this one – after all, Zach is now the baby of the group!
The illustrations showed a lot emotions this round and that enhanced the book in a fabulous way!
All in all, I adored this one from Carole P Roman!
