“Briars, brambles, bones, and blossom, I smell a girl who can’t be forgotten.”
Cerys lives in Aloriya, a kingdom protected by magic but surrounded by a dark and menacing forest.
As the new queen becomes crowned, the cursed forest begins actively encroaching on the idyllic kingdom.
“What could go wrong? The sky’s bright, the sun’s out, and there’s spring in the air—I can taste it.”
Cerys is more familiar with the curse than most – the forest killed her mother, her friends and nearly killed her, though she managed to just barely escape.
Thanks to that encounter, Cerys carries a bit of the forest’s magic in her veins. She’s going to have to team up with a few unlikely companions and find a way to save her kingdom…before it is swallowed whole by the forest.
“Now, what’s a pretty flower like you doing in a wood like this?”
OH MY GOSH. IT WAS AMAZING.
I loved the dark and dangerous forest, the adventure, The atmosphere, the magic, the worldbuilding. I freaking loved it all.
