The Price of Greed – Simon Brading

description

★★★★ ½

‘I’m really hoping that you didn’t just call Sam divine, because his head is big enough already as it is.’

The Illuminati are back – again – and they are posing an even bigger threat than ever before.

While Sam and the Displacers are doing their best to combat them…the Illuminati have almost unlimited resources and they’re finally making their moves.

However, even though he was suspicious of her motives, he was in a desperate situation and needed all the help he could get. ‘What do you want in return?’

Sam is told to stop Quentin, and by extension the Master, but it’s easier said than done.

‘I need you to forget I ever said such a stupid thing and get back on your horse; we have a madman to stop.’

Ahhh, I’m so happy to be delving back into this world!

I loved the character development in this book – they were written so well in this book.

And I adored watching them grow and change over the series!

The relationships in this book just feel so natural.

They’ve been developed slowly over the course of the series and it’s truly wonderful watching them come together.

‘I love you.’ The words were out of his mouth before his brain caught up.

I love the love!

The plot was fast-paced and exciting!

It was AWESOME to watch the characters run around, trying to stop Quentin. I don’t think I breathed the entire last chapter.

All in all, I am having so much fun with this series – I cannot wait to read the next!

With thanks to the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review
